Have you ever thought of opening commissions/point commissions?

It's an interesting thought but my schedule at the moment wouldn't allow it. Then there's my motivational problems... I barely have enough drive to draw things I want to draw... let alone someone elses idea.

That said though, over the next few months I'm looking to revialize my art production. There's a few educational art books I've just recently acquired that I plan on working through (as I've never been taught). And I also plan on getting a decent tablet to draw on while I travel (something like a Surface Pro 3).

... sketching on my S5 sucks...

Ah yeah, I see whatcha mean.

Well, both of the tablets I have aren't exactly the greatest.. First one broke on the day after warranty and the second one works on and off.. Though, I've decided I'm not doing as much digital artwork. I want to become talented with pen and paper.

It's a shame you've been so unlucky with your tablets. The only complaints I've ever had about my one was that the USB cable was far too short... and the nibs wear out faster than I'd like.

Hopefully you have better luck with traditional materials.

Say, were you still looking for a better art program? (even though I think the one you're using is fiiine :U)

Sort of. I've been giving SAI a go for a little while now and it seems really good.

Did you have another alternative you were considering suggesting? I'm always open to possibilities.

From what I've seen/discovered, it's a great program.

That being said, although it was resource-intense (starts lagging or freezing up after 50 or so layers on a high quality PC), I don't think I was making the best use of my previous program. I was/am frustrated that I don't have the time to learn how to transfer my traditional skill into digital form... and was placing more blame on said program than was deserved.

This might be silly but your name and avatar look familiar. Are you on a Db forum?
